The Audi Multi Media Interface®, or MMI®, is a system that distills the latest navigation, communication and entertainment features of your Audi into a natural, easy-to-use interface.
The Audi Multi Media Interface® is an integral operating concept for the logically simple and intuitive operation of fitted vehicle and infotainment components. The MMI ® consists essentially of two elements: the MMI® terminal in the centre console and the MMI® display, a monochrome or colour monitor in the dashboard. The central element of the MMI® terminal is a control button that can be turned and pressed, with four control keys grouped around it. On either side of the terminal there are a total of eight function keys with which the main menus can be called up directly.
The main functions of the system - entertainment, communication, information and control of vehicle systems - are accessed using the eight permanently assigned function keys. Within the individual menus, the driver activates the required functions by turning/pressing the control button. It is intentional that not all settings can be altered in the MMI®. Due to the importance of temperature settings for the passengers, for example, a separate control panel has been retained for the Automatic air conditioning .
